KOMATEK 2011 Exhibition has been successfully accomplished.
KOMATEK 2011 Exhibition held during 20-24 April 2011 at Ankara AKM (Atatürk Culture Center) was completed successfully. KOMATEK 2011, proudly acquiring the “largest area occupying exhibition accomplished in Türkiye” title, has been the most successful construction machinery and equipment exhibition held in Ankara with regard to both visitor and exhibitor figures.
KOMATEK 2011 exhibition comprised of 75000 square meters of exhibition area and 50000 square meters of parking areas. 63000 square meters of the exhibition area was dedicated as the outdoor areas where as 12000 square meters were dedicated as indoor areas. 40000 square meters of outdoor stands and 70000 square meters of indoor stands served 470 companies to exhibit their products and services.
The Turkish Construction Machinery Show was visited by 31726 visitors of which 483 were foreign nationals. These figures point to a 38 % increase of interest compared to KOMATEK’s 2009 occurence.
Other figures that would contribute to indicating the size of the exhibition can be of interest as well. Exhibitors’ stand staff totalled to 3478 persons. Energy consumption during the exhibition approximately averaged to 1650 kilowatts per hour, which was provided totally by on-site generators.
As an outcome of the increase of interest in KOMATEK exhibitions Ankara has once again proven that it is the right city to organize Construction Machinery and Equipment Exhibitions for the sector. It has also pointed to the necessity of holding the next occurence of KOMATEK, which will be in 2013, at a beter infrastructured exhibition area. The efforts of Greater Municipality of Ankara on this issue are being closely followed. Eventhough the time and venue of KOMATEK 2013 exhibition will be announced within a few months from now, there are already demands for 2013 reservations. These requests will be announced and responded to upon Project completion, finalizing the decisions on location and establishment of supporting agreements. Priority will be given to our 2011 exhibitors during the reservation acceptance.
